Bill Gates is among the wealthy who invest in cryptocurrencies. Gates, who is worth US$ 128 million (about Rp 1.868 trillion), says he doesn't like cryptocurrencies and doesn't own any cryptocurrencies.
He likes investing in things with valuable results. Fortune, Monday (30/5/2022) quoted him as saying this on Reddit.
"How a company makes great products determines its value. Crypto's value is decided by others, hence it's not as high as other investments "not duplicate
Since the start of the month, Crypto has lost $200 million in 24 hours. Inflation, rising interest rates, and geopolitical instability contribute to crypto.
Gates isn't the only billionaire to avoid cryptocurrencies. Warren Buffett and Charlie Munger are Bitcoin fans. In April, they discussed Bitcoin at a company's annual stockholders meeting in Omaha, Nebraska.
"I don't know whether prices will rise or fall in the next year, five years, or ten. But I'm sure it won't produce anything "Buffett on bitcoin, CNBC said.
"It has been a miracle and people have shirred many things," she said.
He also criticized Bitcoin's passive nature, saying that if he invests in apartments, he'll get rent and in farmland, he'll get pane.
Munger said, "In my life, I've tried to avoid things that are bad and make me feel bad, and Bitcoin is the result."
